Chepe Express

Background: The Chepe Express took its inaugural journey in May 2018. The train, traveling 350 km in the north of the country, offers its 520 passengers breathtaking views, fine dining, a bar car and an open-air terrace. It is a unique Mexican travel experience, that departs from Los Mochis, Sinaloa traveling to its final destination, Creel, Chihuahua. 

Challenge: Designing, manufacturing and installing furniture on a train demands completely different logistics than any other project. The constant movement and the temperature changes add to the complexity of the installation inside the cars. From engineering and material selection to installation, there are many extra details to be considered and accounted for. 

Our concept: To work hand in hand with the client during the design and engineering process, to make sure the interior held up to the unusual wear and tear that this project obviously would endure.

Services: Adjustment of engineering and finishes, manufacture and installation of furniture, as well as providing maintenance to those previously installed.
